Samita Nandy is a media practioner and researcher in contemporary communication. She is a lecturer and PhD candidate in the Department of Media and Information at Curtin University of Technology, Communications Director of non-profit organization Nouveau IDEA and a certified Broadcast Journalist from Canada. Her work focuses on digital media and communication in Canada and Australia; community building; international relations and cultural policy implementation in the public and private sector, and new media acting as an apparatus in enforcing alternative social identities. She is professional speaker and panel moderator. Currentlty she is the holder of the 2008 EIPRS and CUPS awards and a featured TV Personality with Global Television's Anwar Knight and Allison Annesley on 'Daytime' and prime-time show 'First Local' on Rogers Television, ATN Television Network,US Quarterly 'Rivaaj, Canadian Daily 'Mississauga News', Canadian Weekly 'India Journal', Canadian Monthly 'Desi News', Bollywood magazine 'Cineblitz', and Music Video, "I Quit".
